The Full House is a straightforward café and snack bar tucked away on Cater Road, nestled in an industrial estate on the outskirts of Bristol. Its appeal lies in serving hearty, no-nonsense meals—especially breakfasts and lunches—that feel like a solid, filling option without fuss or fanfare. Locals looking for a substantial full English or a reliable meal under £10 often make this their go-to spot.

The atmosphere is practical and unpretentious, mostly attracting workers and residents who appreciate a quick, well-cooked bite rather than a trendy café experience. The place doesn’t offer much in terms of style or upscale finishes, reflecting its focus on dependable portions and well-prepared food. Expect the kind of service and surroundings where the priority is on the food rather than on ornate presentation or specialty coffee.

Breakfast here, particularly the full English, is often praised for quality ingredients like crispy bacon and sausages that don’t feel cut corners. Lunchtime also draws in those wanting a proper meal during a work break or casual outing. The staff are generally attentive, though there’s a casual vibe that sometimes shows in small service details related to food safety awareness.

Visitors who appreciate a no-frills, reasonably priced café will find The Full House a solid choice, especially on weekdays or weekend mornings when a reliable breakfast ritual is needed. If you’re after elaborate coffee options or a stylish café setting, this isn’t the place, but if you want a straightforward plate of well-cooked food in a laid-back environment, it fits that role well.

Situated in an industrial estate the breakfasts and lunches are ideal for a proper meal for a £10ish

Just a couple of issues - member of staff with long dark/black hair, it should have been tied back around food for hygiene and health and safety reasons. Not sure what coffee is served here but it wasn't very nice Food was lovely, nicely cooked, good proportions and presented well. This was my 4th visit here, would go again.

The Full House does exactly what it says on the tin - good cafe for a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner. Great portion for a great price. There’s nothing flashy about it and that’s what makes it so perfect. Five stars.

If you’re anywhere near Cater Road and fancy a proper full English, Full House Cafe is an absolute gem that deserves far more recognition. I’ve been coming here regularly for breakfast, and it’s become my weekend ritual. The full English breakfast here is genuinely outstanding – everything cooked to perfection. The bacon is crispy, sausages are quality (not the cheap rubbish you get at some places), eggs done exactly how you ask, proper fried bread, beans, mushrooms, and tomatoes all freshly prepared. The portions are generous without being wasteful, and everything arrives hot and well-presented. It’s proper café food done right. But here’s the real kicker – the value is absolutely incredible. You’re getting a top-quality full English for prices that feel like they’ve not changed in years. In an era where everywhere’s hiking prices, Full House Cafe offers genuine value for money that’s increasingly hard to find. You leave feeling properly full and satisfied without your wallet taking a hammering. The atmosphere is classic British café – unpretentious, welcoming, and comfortable. Service is friendly and efficient; the staff are lovely and clearly take pride in what they serve. It’s always clean, and there’s usually a good mix of regulars and newcomers, which speaks volumes. Whether you’re after a weekend breakfast treat or need fuelling up before a busy day, Full House Cafe delivers every single time. Highly recommend – proper food, proper prices, proper service.
